COLLOCATIONS
The last definition is from Oxford Collocations Dictionary: “Collocation is the way words combine in a language to produce natural-sounding speech and writing.” Strong coffee and fast food can be given as examples for collocation in English. When we speak or write it will be very difficult to combine the collocations in the target language especially if you are a beginner. Although a native speaker do not have any problem in understanding the collocations, non-native speakers may face many comprehension problems.
